Small top legend: shifted · bottom legend: hold · dashed: transparent (falls through to the layer below) · ⊖: does nothing · dotted accent: handled by a firmware module, not the keymap · filled: the key holding this layer · ▏ marks where a macro leaves the cursor. Hover or focus a key for its position and binding.

What’s on it

  • Home-row mods: S Alt, D Ctrl, F Shift on the left; J Shift, K Ctrl, L Alt on the right. Same finger, same modifier on both hands. Tap for the letter, hold for the modifier; the rules that keep fast typing from firing them are on Home-row mods & timing.
  • Left thumb: mo(SYS|NUM) · F11 · GUI · mo(NAV) · Backspace.
  • Right thumb: Space · mo(CODE) · Caps Word · F12, or AltGr when held · mo(MEDIA).
  • Joystick: volume up and down, play/pause, next track, and mute on the centre press: media without holding a layer. Position 52 is a second Mute key.
  • Encoder: volume. Editable live in Studio.
  • Delete is mo(CODE) + Backspace: hold CODE with the right thumb, tap Backspace with the left. Two hands, no hold-tap.

AltGr sits on the thumb rather than on a letter key, so accented letters (AltGr+E, AltGr+O) are reachable with either hand, and fast typing doesn’t turn a letter into AltGr.

Getting to the other layers

Hold mo(NAV) or mo(SYS|NUM) with the left thumb, mo(CODE) or mo(MEDIA) with the right. The game layers start from SYS|NUM; see Gaming layers.
