The board

The Eyelash Sofle is a wireless split keyboard:

  • two halves, each on a nice!nano v2 (nRF52840) with a nice!view display;
  • a five-way joystick and a rotary encoder (left half);
  • RGB underglow, seven LEDs a half, one per column plus the thumb.

Getting started covers how the firmware uses them.

Original design

The hardware and its original ZMK firmware are by the board’s designer (380465425@qq.com), published at a741725193/zmk-sofle. This repository started as a fork of it. The vendor’s files below are not redistributed here; get them from their repository:

They have no license, so they remain © their original authors.

The physical layout this firmware uses (the key positions Studio and the keymap render draw) is this project’s own: the regular Sofle keys follow ZMK’s Sofle layout (MIT), with the joystick and the encoder press added. It lives in config/boards/shields/eyelash_sofle/eyelash_sofle-layouts.dtsi, and config/eyelash_sofle.json is generated from it with mise run layout.
